Born in Xi An, China, Xinsheng Wang grew up in a traditional Chinese artist family. Greatly influenced by his parents, both of them being well-known portrait painters, Wang started his career with oil painting after university graduation. He was top prize winner in quite a number of national oil painting competitions. Wang’s artistic creativity was re-energized after he immigrated to Houston, Texas in 1993.
